Band recommendations? (Metal) & (Punk)?

I would recomend Coheed and Cambria ("In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3" is my favorite album by them), Deftones (If their new album is as amazing as thier new song "Diamond Eyes", then I say they are worth a listen), The Used (Thier older stuff may be a bit whiney for your taste, but I suggest giving the album Artwork a listen. Easily their heaviest album to date.), Avenged Sevenfold (post-Sounding the Seventh Trumpet unless you like M. Shadows screaming... *shudder*), and Breaking Benjamin (I have only heard 2 of thier 4 albums. "We Are Not Alone" is a bit more upbeat than "Phobia", but Phobia is the heavier of the two." I hope my suggestions don't suck.
