Need help/advice with my corn snake he just had an accident?

My corn snake has been escaping from his tank recently and when i came into my room i found hm tangled up in a crochet top thing. I tried to keep calm, and grabbed some nail scissors to cut him free, but it was very difficult since he was squirming and freaking out so much! I was trying to stop him from getting more entwined, hold him steady, and carefully as i possiblly could, cut him free. I'm pretty sure he was turning blue as his struggling was tightening it, but needless to say, i managed to free hm. I'm just worried about if he's okay now?? He's looking very scuffed, but apart from that he seems to be moving okay, perhaps a little slowly :\ He took a drink okay and is currently in his hide. It's the middle of the night here now, so it's going to be a little difficult to keep an eye on him.....do you think he's okay? I'm going to call the reptile vet in the morning but i'm pretty worried right now! :(
