How to get someone to accept my friend request?

WOW this sounds really lame. lol anyway, there was this guy at camp and he definitely liked me, we didnt get to talk much though cuz we were on diff teams and the camp was pretty strict on the boy-girl-policy. anyway i finally found him on facebook so i friend requested him. I knew he wasnt a big facebook person so i wasnt freaking out or anything when a week past. so about 2weeks after i friend requested him, you know how on your wall it says so-and-so is now friends with bob, jeff, sally, etc, or bob, jeff, and sally are now friends with so-and-so, even if you dont know so-and-so? well that so-and-so happened to be him, so now i admiti kinda freaked out. so u know he has been in facebook and he still hasnt accepted my friend request=( even if he doesnt like me anymore why cant we be friends? i friended alot of people from camp, other than him. what do i do? i can message him i guess but what would/could i say?
