Brand new chocolate uggs look grey?

I just bought brand new Chocolate Uggs from the official Ugg website as I did my 3 other pairs. They look greyish. Not a dark rich color I've seen others wearing. Even in the stores they look greyish. Do they get darker over time? Some lady said they need oxygen to get darker???
