What does it mean that my mail address is linked to 2 other accounts stopping me from joining Facebook.?

MY address is judy.fergusen@yahoo.com & I opened up a yahoo email acct for my granddaughter, Graciella. When she tries to join FB she gets a message saying that "the account has already been linked to 2 accounts. We don't know what that means nor how to fix it.
